Save yourself a trip to the tip with our Collect & Recycle service*. From washing machines and tumble dryers, to dishwashers, fridges and TVs, we’ll pick up your old appliances on the day that suits you and take it away to be recycle responsibly.

How it works

 – In the final Step of the Checkout,  add the service to your ElekDirect purchase*. 

– We’ll collect and recycle your old appliance for you.

– What works for you works for us. We’ll send you a text to book in a delivery date for your order. Then our drivers will collect your old appliance at the same time.

* This service is charged per unit excluding delivery- Eligible categories only

 

 

 

How to prepare

 

Step 1

Make sure your appliance is disconnected from any water, gas or mains supplies. Fridge freezers need to be completely defrosted with any water, takeaways or milk cartons emptied out. If we’re picking up a tumble dryer, washing machine or dishwasher, don’t forget to unload that too.

 

Step 2

We can collect your appliance from any room inside your home, so there’s no need to move it to the front door before we arrive. Once we’ve got it, we’ll take it to our state-of-the-art recycling facility in Telford to be sorted responsibly – saving you a trip to the tip.

 

 

 

 

Please note:

– Unfortunately, if your old appliance isn’t ready for collection, we will be unable to take it and will offer you a refund for the service.

– This service is only currently available online, when purchasing an item from ElekDirect.

– We can only collect like for like product types. For example, if you’ve purchased a fridge, we can only collect your old one and not anything else.
